3D Printing, CAD and File Enquiry Terms

Effective: 1 August 2026.

1. Enquiry only

Submitting a quotation or CAD/file enquiry asks TECHTUKE to assess the request. It does not create an order, payment, courier booking, confirmed appointment, production slot or obligation to manufacture. A service contract arises only after TECHTUKE issues a written quotation/specification and the customer expressly accepts it and completes any stated payment step.

2. Customer authority and lawful content

The customer confirms that they own the submitted design, specifications and project details or have all permissions needed for TECHTUKE to receive, review, reproduce and manufacture them for the requested purpose. The customer must not submit material that infringes copyright, design, trademark, patent, confidentiality, privacy or other third-party rights, or requests for weapons, controlled items, unlawful surveillance, unsafe circumvention or other unlawful products. TECHTUKE may decline a request or seek evidence of authority.

This allocation is supported by Bahrain Law No. 22 of 2006, which protects original works including computer programs, drawings, plans and three-dimensional works. It does not transfer ownership of the customer’s pre-existing rights to TECHTUKE.

3. Review and printability

TECHTUKE may conduct a preliminary review for format, geometry, dimensions, material, process and apparent printability. A preliminary view is not engineering certification, regulatory approval, a safety guarantee or validation for a safety-critical use. The customer must disclose the intended use and any critical load, temperature, electrical, food-contact, medical, child-safety or regulatory requirement.

4. Quotation and specification

The accepted written quotation should state the deliverable, quantity, material, colour/finish where available, dimensional basis, price, payment stage and estimated lead time. Scope, revisions, sampling, supports/finishing, delivery and taxes are included only if stated. A change after acceptance may require a revised quotation and schedule; no cancellation or revision fee is invented unless expressly agreed in advance.

5. Tolerances and appearance

3D printing and small-batch manufacture inherently involve layer lines and reasonable variation in colour, surface, support marks, fit and dimensions. No generic numeric tolerance is promised. Any critical tolerance, mating surface, colour reference or finish must be written into the accepted specification. TECHTUKE will not substitute a material or materially change the specification without customer agreement.

6. Customer-supplied specifications

The customer is responsible for the accuracy, completeness and suitability of their design and dimensions, except for changes or errors introduced by TECHTUKE. TECHTUKE will seek clarification where an obvious issue is identified but does not assume responsibility for undisclosed functional, regulatory or safety requirements.

7. Intellectual property

The customer retains rights in customer-supplied materials. TECHTUKE retains rights in its pre-existing tools, methods, templates and general know-how. Ownership and permitted reuse of new CAD/design work created by TECHTUKE must be stated in the accepted quotation; it is not assumed. TECHTUKE receives only the limited permission necessary to assess and perform the requested service, keep lawful records and handle a claim.

8. Confidentiality and file handling

TECHTUKE will limit project information to persons and service providers reasonably needing it for assessment, quotation, production, delivery, support or legal compliance and will apply reasonable care. This is a qualified operational commitment, not an absolute secrecy or security guarantee and not an NDA. A separate NDA can be considered before sensitive information is provided.

Secure online file upload is not currently available. Do not send a CAD file through the ordinary form. Describe the project first; if a file is required, TECHTUKE will arrange an appropriate transfer method. The actual file-retention/deletion schedule and approved transfer tools require owner confirmation. Until then, data is retained only as necessary for the enquiry, contract, legal records, security and disputes, then deleted or anonymised.

9. Acceptance, cancellation and remedies

Custom work can be cancelled before acceptance. After acceptance, cancellation, change and refund consequences depend on work already authorised and the written quotation, subject always to mandatory consumer rights. TECHTUKE will not rely on a blanket “custom goods are non-refundable” term to deny a remedy for its defect, unsafe output or failure to meet the accepted specification.

The customer should inspect the deliverable promptly and report a suspected defect or non-conformity with evidence. TECHTUKE may inspect, rework, reproduce, replace or refund as required by law and the agreed specification.

10. Safety and use

Unless expressly validated in writing, outputs are not represented as certified for medical, food-contact, child-safety, pressure, electrical, structural, transport, personal-protective or other safety-critical use. The customer must not use a prototype as a production safety component without appropriate independent validation.

11. Privacy and law

Project contact information is handled under the Privacy Policy. Bahrain law and Bahrain courts apply, without restricting mandatory consumer rights. English and Arabic versions are intended to be substantively equivalent; neither is stated to prevail pending owner/legal decision.

Customs, permits and carrier refusal

Where an accepted special order genuinely requires import documentation, a governmental approval, or supplier-direct return handling, the applicable requirement will be disclosed without inventing a permit. If Customs Affairs, another competent authority, or the carrier refuses a shipment for reasons not caused by TECHTUKE, the refund and documented-cost rules in the Shipping, Delivery and Store Pickup Policy apply. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
